Direct Data Corporation becomes Citrix Solutions Network Member
Joining leading value added resellers and
consultants who produce innovative, high performance application server software
solutions, Direct Data Corporation has met all certification requirements and
become a member of the Citrix Solutions Network.
Utilizing Citrix Metaframe for Windows, DDC extends its Thin Client
strategy for 5250 users to also include Server-Based Computing, an application
deployment and management technology, which allows users to access applications
running on servers from a variety of devices. With server-based computing, all
desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, e-mail, project management, etc.
are installed on a server rather than on end-user devices (desktops or
notebooks). All application processing is performed on the server with the
end-user device handling only the input and output interfaces (keyboard, mouse,
and the graphical display). Given
the priority on lowering cost
and optimizing available IT budget dollars, the Server Based Computing model
